NORTH PORT -- Cranberry Elementary School will hold their annual Kindergarten Roundup informational meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21.
  To qualify for the 2009-2010 school year, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2009.
  Although registration for the 2009-2010 school year will not take place at this meeting, readiness screening registration will begin at 5:15 p.m.
  Actual registration will begin on April 23. At that time, parents should present the following:
  • an original birth certificate with seal from the Bureau of Vital Statistics. If the child was born in Florida, a copy of the birth certificate cane be obtained at the South County Family Health Center in Venice, 941-861-3383. If the child was born out of state, a certificate can be purchased at www.vitalcheck.com.
  • proof of residence in the form of a signed lease or an FPL or water bill showing name, address and current date. If the family resides with another individual, proof of residence from the individual and an address affidavit must be completed with the school's registrar.
  • school physical and 680 form from the Department of Health or a physician.
  • school registration forms packet, which parents will receive at the Roundup event.
